1:1 Grief Support Session – FAQs

What actually happens in a session?

We meet over Zoom for 75–90 minutes. You don’t need to prepare anything or know what to say.

This isn’t about fixing or performing your grief. It’s a private space where you’re met exactly as you are. We follow what’s present — whether that’s talking, silence, emotion, confusion, or simply sitting with what you’re carrying.

If it feels helpful, we may begin with a simple grounding practice. From there, the session unfolds at your pace.

What kind of support might be offered?

Support is guided by what feels steady and appropriate for you. This may include:

  • Emotional witnessing without pressure or judgement
    • Nervous system grounding
    • Gentle work with guilt, self-blame, or stuck beliefs
    • Perspective shifts when you’re caught in a painful narrative
    • Guided reflection and processing practices
    • Compassion-based inner work
    • Simple acknowledgement or ritual, if meaningful to you

Nothing is imposed. Everything is optional.

Is this therapy?

No. This is not therapy or clinical mental health support.

This is emotionally grounded grief support. I don’t diagnose, treat, or provide clinical interventions. If you’re in acute crisis or need mental health care, please seek support from a qualified professional.

Do I have to talk the whole time?

No.

You don’t need to perform, explain, or fill the space. You’re welcome to be quiet, tearful, unsure, or stuck. The session meets you where you are.

What if I cry or feel overwhelmed?

That’s okay. This space is built for those moments. We can slow down, pause, or ground together if things feel intense.

It’s been a long time since my pet passed — is this still for me?

Yes. Grief doesn’t follow a timeline. If the loss is still living in you, this space is available.

What if I’m grieving more than one pet?

That’s welcome too. Multiple losses, layered grief, or anticipatory grief don’t need to be simplified here.

Can I talk about guilt?

Yes.

Guilt is one of the most common — and heaviest — parts of pet loss. If you’re carrying regret, shame, or “what ifs”, this is a safe place to bring that.

What if I don’t know what I need?

That’s completely okay.

You don’t need clarity before you arrive. Just showing up is enough.

Do I need to prepare anything?

No preparation is needed. Just make sure you have a quiet, private space.

You’re welcome to bring something comforting — a photo, candle, or object — if that feels supportive, but there’s no expectation.

What happens after I book?

After payment, you’ll receive a confirmation email, your Zoom link, and a short intake form.

The form is optional but recommended. It helps me understand what you’re carrying so I can meet you more fully.

If time zones make scheduling difficult, you’re welcome to email me.

How do I contact you?

Email is the only method of communication I use. This keeps the work contained and sustainable.

I don’t respond to DMs or messages on other platforms. Once you’re booked, you’re welcome to email if you need to reschedule or share something ahead of time. I aim to respond within 1–2 business days.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

If you need to reschedule or cancel, please email at least 24 hours in advance.

Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice are not refundable, except in genuine emergency.

This boundary protects the steadiness of the space.

How much does it cost?

The session fee is AUD $277 and includes:

  • One 75–90 minute Zoom session
    • Optional post-session grounding or reflection

Payment is required at the time of booking. See payment options below.

Are payment plans available?

Yes. If eligible, flexible payment options including Afterpay, Klarna, PayPal (all available at checkout), or pay in full — so you can choose what feels most supportive for you.

Can I book another session later?

Yes. You’re welcome to book additional one-off sessions whenever you need.

If you later join the 6-week journey, ongoing support options are available.

What boundaries are in place?

This work is held with care and mutual respect.

That means:

  • Showing up on time or communicating changes appropriately
    • Understanding this is grief support, not therapy or crisis care
    • Communicating via email outside of sessions
    • Full payment before the session
    • Engaging respectfully at all times

Abusive or aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated.

These boundaries protect the steadiness and integrity of the space — especially when working with grief.
