The physical effects of grief can reach far beyond the heart. After Charlie died, I felt the full impact in my nervous system, sleep, digestion and stress response. My body was carrying the weight just as much as my heart.
I had already been using a few gentle supports in my everyday life — ASEA, Touchstone Essentials and Vidafy. When grief hit, I simply kept using them. They didn’t take the pain away — nothing can — but they gave me a sense of steadiness and balance when everything else felt like it was collapsing.
I want to be clear: these are not things you need, and I’m not sharing them as medical advice or making claims about what they will do for you. Everyone’s grief is different, and every body responds in its own way. I’m simply sharing my own experience and what I personally found supportive during my grief. If something speaks to you, I encourage you to do your own research and decide for yourself whether it feels right for you.
