About Ethereal Wings: Grief & Healing After Pet Loss
If you’ve found your way here, there’s a good chance your heart is carrying the loss of a pet who meant everything to you.
Ethereal Wings exists for people who don’t experience pet loss as “just grief”, but as something that reaches into their body, their nervous system, and their sense of home. For those who loved deeply — and are still carrying that love after their pet has gone.
You’re not imagining how heavy this feels. And you’re not alone in it.
How Ethereal Wings began
Ethereal Wings was born after the loss of my first cat, Shiva in 2017. I cared for him at home at the end of his life, and his passing opened me to a depth of grief and connection I hadn’t known before.
That loss shaped the foundation of Ethereal Wings as a spiritual healing space — one that held complexity, depth, and the unseen parts of human experience.
Years later in 2024, my world was shaken again by the sudden loss of my cat Charlie. His death cracked me open in a way nothing else ever had. My health suffered. My sense of stability disappeared. And I came face to face with how isolating pet grief can be — especially when the world expects you to “be okay” far sooner than you are.
This work didn’t come from a plan.
It came from being redirected by grief itself.
Why I do this work
I don’t do this work because I’m finished with my own grief.
I do it because I know what it feels like to still be living inside it.
I know the silence.
The exhaustion.
The guilt for laughing again.
The way everything feels wrong.
I also know that healing doesn’t mean forgetting, letting go, or “moving on”. It means learning how to live alongside grief — gently — while still honouring the love that never disappeared.
Pet grief isn’t smaller than other losses.
It’s different.
And it deserves its own kind of care.
How I support grieving pet parents
My approach is grounded, intuitive and deeply respectful of where you are.
I don’t offer therapy.
I don’t rush healing.
I don’t try to fix what doesn’t need fixing.
Instead, I offer steady, compassionate support for people grieving the loss of a soul pet — through gentle self-paced resources, community spaces, and one-to-one grief companioning when deeper support is needed.
Everything here is designed to:
- honour your bond
- support your nervous system
- allow grief to exist without pressure
- help you stay connected to your pet in a way that feels right for you
My work does not replace bonds.
It restores people to their own capacity to love, remember and continue.
If you’re here now
Whether your loss is recent, or something you’ve been carrying quietly for a long time, there is space for you here.
You can begin gently.
You can take your time.
And you don’t have to do this alone.
